I started my birth doula training in 2012, moved away, but came back to it in 2016 through Mother Tree. Later, as I supported a close friend at a birth and a woman at a local hospital in West Africa, an awe and tenderness grew in me for women, their team of support and the nature of birth. This validated my desire to incorporate doula work into my life. I am thrilled to be a part of PDX Doulas because I not only have the honor of meeting and supporting incredible women and support members during a physically demanding and emotionally sacred time but I also am a part of a caring and knowledgable network of fellow doulas.
In addition to my interest in birth work, I enjoy community and hearing about people’s lives and stories. My favorite things about living in Portland are Powell’s Books, the best summers in America and its proximity to beautiful forests.
