I am honored to have the opportunity to serve birthing families at OHSU with PDX Doulas. I completed my doula training with Mother Tree in the winter of 2013, and joined PDX doulas in the summer of 2015. I chose to become a doula because I believe all mothers and families deserve access to compassionate, respectful support during labor and birth. I am currently a doctoral student at the University of Washington School of Nursing in the Nurse-Midwifery track.

As a doula, I endeavor to adapt to the unique needs of each mother and family.
Whether it’s through physical support for mom, emotional support for mom and family, or simply providing a calm quiet presence, I aim to support families through whatever labor and birth may have to offer. I treasure serving families of all types, with young and/or single mamas holding a special place in my heart.

On a personal note, I’m a Canadian transplant with strong family ties to the Portland/Columbia River Gorge area. I enjoy spending time with my partner and two daughters, running, reading, practicing yoga, and knitting.
