Nursing Mothers Counsel of Oregon (NMC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the support, promotion and protection of breastfeeding within our community.  NMC provides free prenatal breastfeeding education classes, including teen parent classes, free peer counseling phone support, and little to no-cost breast pump rentals and lactation consultant visits for low income breastfeeding mothers. NMC also offers Workplace Lactation Support Services to businesses and their breastfeeding employees returning to work.

 

La Leche League is an international, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing education, information, support, and encouragement to women who want to breastfeed. All breastfeeding mothers and pregnant women interested in breastfeeding are welcome to attend their free meetings or call their leaders for breastfeeding help.

 

BBC exists to support and educate all women and families at risk for postpartum and antepartum depression and anxiety. Their 24-hour warm line is the first step.  They offer a mom-to-mom support group made up of women who have been through perinatal depression and anxiety themselves.
