Hello, my name is Hanna. I am so excited to be working with PDX Doulas. For many years I worked in and studied child development. Although I enjoyed this, my true passion is in pregnancy, birth, and helping women have an empowering experience during the birth of their child. I am committed to working with each mama to ensure that her birth experience is positive, regardless of the choices she makes along the way. I strongly believe that no woman should feel in any way judged or inadequate no matter what her personal preferences are for her labor and birth. Just as no two women are the same, each birth is unique and beautiful.
The births of my own three children blessed me with an awe and respect for the incredible process of birth. I can’t imagine an experience more transforming and emotional. As I have been working to become a certified doula, I feel so grateful and honored to be a part of this experience alongside other women and families. As a doula, my job is to support the mother both physically and emotionally in any way needed. I am also there to facilitate communication between the family and the hospital staff, and help in any other way needed. I look forward to working with you!
